Quarantine 2: The Terminal

7am browsing uk netflix pathetic horror section trying to find something I’d not seen already. This is better than I thought it might be. They dump found fottage and just play out a typical infection movie. There is a lead on from Quarantine in this but it’s nothing like [REC*]2 and I was glad I love the 3 rec movies and hate pointless remakes.

Zombies (Wicked Little Things)

Ahh the good old days when kiddies worked down mines and died in them. Cut to now-a-days and Chloe Moertz is swearing so we know it’s an average little film. This is about zombie children who kill non relatives on a mountain or something close to that.

Title : Silent Hill

Personal Opinion : The reveal scene is too much, unless you are an idiot you can figure out what was going on without it, even a briefer version showing the abuse would have been better, but it goes on and on and retells every last tiny thing. Besides that this is great, the monsters and various creatures look great and at times are quite scary. Jodelle plays 3 arguably 4 roles all of which really well. This is the movie that crowned her princess of horror and she’s worthy of the title based on her performance here. This is very very loosely based on the video game series, more specifically the first game in the series. Still it is a good starter movie for younger horror fans as it’s got a bit of everything going on without being gory or having 10000 jump cuts.

Personal Opinion : Well it’s weeks now and London has been made a safe zone. Unfortunately some idiot decided to let kids back into said safe zone and the little shits do what kids do best, sneak off and bring back the damn virus and now it’s a big old bloodbath again, thanks kids!

Title : Zombieland

Starring : Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Bill Murray and Abigail Breslin.

Personal Opinion : Honestly one of the funniest comedy horror’s I’ve seen and I’ve watched a lot from Scream right through to Lesbian Vampire Killers. The cast have a great chemistry and the performances seem honest. Abigail is at her best since Little Miss Sunshine and Woody is playing it like a spoof version of Mickie Knox.

Personal Opinion : All the kids of the world fall into comas and all the grown up’s get 10 years peace, sounds great till the little shits wake up again. It’s too clever a story, it seems to be lost on a straight to dvd film. Too many scenes were cut. So much to complain about with this one. The acting is so bad that what could have been a powerful story ends up a train wreck to watch.

Personal Opinion : I dunno if they are ghosts or zombies but they seem to think human is yum! Another wonderful performance from Chloe Moretz in a nothing special film. I believe this movie claimed to use real dead bodies, but I believe that was just a marketing ploy.

Personal Opinion : Harry Novak! Those two words bring joy to my bad B movie loving heart. Here some badly acted spoiled brat uses zombies to kill people she hates.

Personal Opinion : This is one of my favourite films ever. I loved the book too. This film is unique in that it features an 18 month old child who can act. Not sit in a chair and look cute, actually learn lines and take direction, it’s no wonder Miko went on to play Simon in Mercury Rising, something not even Dakota Fanning could convincingly have pulled off. Church is probably the creepiest cat of all time and supporting roles of Zelda and Victor are two of the best in any movie.
